Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Famotel collects when you use famotel.com and how it is used. We keep data collection to a minimum: you do not need an account to use Famotel and we never ask for payment details.

Information we collect

• Search details such as destination, dates and number of guests. These are kept in the page address and, to save you retyping them, in your browser's local storage.
• Outbound clicks: when you click through to a partner we record the partner, the property, the dates searched and the page it came from, without any personal identifiers. We use this to understand which features are useful.
• Campaign information: if you arrive from an advertisement, a cookie (fm_cmp, 30 days) stores the campaign identifier so we can measure that campaign.
• Server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) kept for security and troubleshooting for up to 30 days.

Partners and embedded content

Our pages include content from partners, including a live price map from Stay22 and map tiles from OpenStreetMap. When you click through to Agoda, Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Vrbo or another partner, their own privacy policies apply. Partners may set cookies to attribute bookings to Famotel.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete data about you. Because we do not hold accounts or personal profiles, there is usually nothing to retrieve, but you can contact us at hello@famotel.com with any request.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
